Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Solar Subsidy

Step 1: Start Your Registration

Begin by visiting the official portal for rooftop solar subsidy applications.

Step 2: Provide the Required Details

During registration, you’ll need to enter the following information:

• State: Select your state.
• Electricity Distribution Company (DISCOM): Choose your service provider.
• Electricity Consumer Number: Enter your unique consumer number.
• Mobile Number and Email: Provide valid contact details.

Step 3: Login to the Portal

Use your registered Consumer Number and Mobile Number to log in.

Step 4: Apply for Rooftop Solar

Fill out the application form for rooftop solar as per the portal’s instructions.

Step 5: Submit the Application

Complete and submit the online application form with the necessary details.

Step 6: Feasibility Approval

Wait for your DISCOM to approve the feasibility of the installation. Once approved, you can install the solar plant with a registered vendor from your DISCOM’s list.

Step 7: Post-Installation Submission

After the solar plant installation is complete, submit the plant details through the portal. Apply for a net meter to enable grid connection.

Step 8: Inspection and Commissioning

DISCOM will inspect your installation and install the net meter. A commissioning certificate will be generated on the portal once the process is complete.

Step 9: Claim Your Subsidy

Upload your bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. Your subsidy will be credited to your bank account within 30 days.
